Joy Farm Market is a local store located in the heart of uptown New Westminster. We carry a variety of fresh organic produce, as well as a good selection of essential products, at an affordable price. Joy Farm Market is proudly locally owned, and we are currently looking for an Administrative Officer to join our team, who can oversee administrative duties for smooth daily operations of the market, maintain financial records, and ensure effective communication between staff, vendors, and customers.

Position Title: Administrative Officer
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent
Estimated Starting Date: As soon as possible
Position Available: 1
Wage: $35.00 – $36.00 per hour (depending on working experience)
Work Hours: 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4 % Vacation pay or 10 business days of paid vacation
Job Duties:
• Respond to inquiries from business partners, wholesale agents and customers, and direct them to the appropriate contact when necessary;
• Create and update reports detailing purchase orders including product types, quantities, quality, and pricing;
• Monitor office supply inventory levels and place orders in advance to ensure administrative procedures continue smoothly;
• Schedule meetings, take minutes and follow up with management on action items to ensure efficient operations;
• Oversee daily office operations to ensure administrative processes are followed and continuously improve them.
• Manage contracting and invoicing functions, ensuring all office systems for daily market operations run smoothly.
• Assist in preparing budgets, maintaining inventory control, and compiling regular reports to ensure smooth financial and operational management.
Qualification:
• Completion of secondary education is required;
• A university degree or college diploma in business or public administration is preferred but not mandatory;
• At least 1 year of work experience in a senior clerical or executive secretarial position related tooffice administration is required;
• Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential;
• Working knowledge of English.
